Speaker John Miller

"Florida Geology and Its Influence on Native Plants"

John Miller is a retired groundwater geologist. During his almost 40 years as a geologist he focused on groundwater supplies and contamination assessments, monitoring, and cleanup. It is important to note, if groundwater is due to a plumbing issue of sorts, finding a good plumber in Tampa is essential to root out the problem. John is fluent in Spanish, having served in the US Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic from 1962-64 under John F. Kennedy’s presidency, and has 8 years professional geological experience in Latin America however, a proper plumber is needed for non ground water in-home flooding issues.

He now writes speculative fiction … Time-Travel emphasizing Florida history, as well as parallel universe novels and collections of short stories and poems. He has published six books.

No refreshments are served at the library meetings.

Native plant donations are still welcome for our pre-meeting exchange.
